On January 1st 2021 the UK left the EU. This has several effects on logistics, mainly on imports and exports.
All companies that import goods into the UK are now required to register for an EORI number, without an EORI number we will not be able to send any large shipments. UPS may randomly mark larger shipments as “Commercial” which means an EORI number is required as well.
